:

The Assistant Project Accountant is responsible for project creation, maintenance, and ensuring data accuracy of NC/MM projects for the assigned region. Being single contact for queries relating to the E&B tool and template, NC/MM, and OTL timecard issues. Participate in Project Review Meetings, preparation, and meeting logistics.

What You Will Do:

• Responsibility for setup, modification, and closing NC/MM projects in Oracle upon receipt of proper documentation.
• Maintain and publish desktop procedures for NC/MM project setup.
• Run, distribute, and validate the completeness of routine and ad hoc exception reports and verify that required corrections are required.
• Participate in project selection with the regional management team.
• Prepare documentation, coordinate meeting logistics, perform follow up and summarize the Project Review Meeting details.
• Maintain and publish Project Review Meeting desktop procedures.
• Support the effectiveness of project accounting (PA) related controls.
• Assist in any PA-related ad hoc reporting requirement or special projects when required.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or recognized equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of Project Control experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external clients.
• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
• Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.

Reporting Relationships:

The incumbent reports directly to the administrative, manager, or higher-level position in the assigned department. This position does not have any direct reports.
