Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
Act as a vital link between on-site operations and overall project management to ensure efficient project execution, compliance with quality and safety standards, and continuous improvement in delivery outcomes.
Monitor and track the master construction program, prepare recovery or catch-up plans, and adjust schedules to minimize delays and achieve timely project completion.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize manpower, materials, and equipment utilization for maximum productivity.
Work closely with consultants and the technical team to resolve discrepancies in drawings and address technical challenges before work commencement.
Assist in preparing project budgets, monitor cost performance, and ensure expenditures align with financial forecasts to support project profitability.
Review and enforce method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures in compliance with quality and safety requirements.
Prepare, maintain, and present detailed progress reports and documentation for internal management and client review.
Conduct regular coordination meetings with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to communicate project status, clarify issues, and initiate corrective measures.
Identify potential risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities on-site and recommend process enhancements to strengthen operational excellence.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Preferable 5 years of experience in managing completed condominium or large-scale construction projects.
