(Applicable during School Term & School Holidays)

Mondays to Fridays, ending at

4:00 PM

(includes a 0.5-hour lunch break) Lunch break may vary from

30 minutes to 1 hour

; arrangement to be discussed with the reporting officer Daily end time may be adjusted depending on lunch duration Work hours may be changed by the school based on operational needs

No work

on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Scope of Services

The Assistant Science Laboratory Technician will support daily operations across all Science Laboratories.

Responsibilities1. Daily Routine Duties

Open and close laboratory doors and windows Ensure all gas taps, valves, and fans are switched off after each practical Maintain general cleanliness of labs, including: Clearing bins Cleaning sinks, benches, shelves, drawers, cupboards, retort stands Returning reagent bottles to proper locations

2. Laboratory Support (Chemistry, Biology, Physics & Lower Secondary Science)

Set up and lay out apparatus for practical lessons and exams Clear, wash, dry, and store apparatus after use Top up distilled water bottles Refill diluted bench reagents Cut and dispense fresh ingredients for student use Weigh and dispense chemicals into vials for practicals/exams Conduct inventory checks Label vials, beakers, chemicals, and specimen containers Maintain physics apparatus (e.g., inserting/removing batteries) Stand by in the preparation room during practical sessions if needed

3. Additional Duties

Support any tasks assigned by the HOD Science Assist with

GCE O-Level Science Practical Examinations

, including preparation, washing, and post-exam clean-up

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum

GCE 'O' Level

or equivalent At least

2 years of relevant experience

in a science lab or science-related industry Fluent in

English
