To provide project management oversight for outreach and alumni engagement events and activities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and manage alumni engagement and outreach strategies and programmes focused on increasing the depth and diversity of relationships with both local and overseas students and alumni groups.
Conceptualise, plan, organise and manage all aspects of event planning, meeting strict deadlines and budget demands.
Work collaboratively across the university to ensure consistent engagements and reporting for outreach and alumni engagement
Engage and connect with alumni and local/international schools through various channels of communication by conceptualising, developing and maintaining effective marketing, publicity collaterals, department\'s website and social media platforms
Develop marketing and publicity campaigns and/or programs to create awareness and drive participation of events/products created
Measure the effectiveness of outreach programmes and alumni engagement and adjustments to strategies as needed.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date alumni and outreach database and mailing list
Grow, track and measure alumni loyalty and affective ties to the department
Manage alumni volunteers and facilitate formation of online alumni communities/ groups and implement digital engagement strategies
Cultivate students from the penultimate and graduating cohort to ensure their continual involvement in alumni activities after graduation.
Qualifications
A Graduate, with minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience preferably in event management and/or alumni engagement.
Computer savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Access), Google docs, Google sheets, Adobe applications, social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Webpage). Knowledgeable in graphics arts software (especially WordPress). Familiar with JavaScript, HTML, HTTP, CSS, and XML, including internet related software would be an advantage.
Strong organisational, management & problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to details and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Team player who is versatile, self-motivated, resourceful and have a high level of initiative
Driven individual with superior analytical and research skills.
Possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills, preferably with good science writing skills to be able to translate complex Science into simple English
Creative and ability to design marketing collaterals and campaigns
Outgoing personality
Good photography and/or videography skills and editing skills will be an asset
Must be able to work weekday evenings and weekends, when required.
