Job Description
MindSpace @ Sembawang Shopping Centre is currently recruiting Assistant Teachers to support our June holiday programmes for our center located at Sembawang Shopping Centre. Undergraduates looking for holiday/part-time jobs are welcome to apply.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing our student care holiday revision and enrichment programmes
- Assist in guiding primary school students to ensure completion of their homework and other school assignments
- Assist in the preparation of teaching resources and materials
- Assist in maintaining the overall appearance and learning environment of classrooms
- Serve as an inspiring role model with a creative spirit and a champion (positive) mindset
- Ensure safety of students at all times
- Guide and manage students using positive discipline techniques
- Manage other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Centre Director
- Experience in teaching or interacting with primary school students will be a strong advantage
- Some familiarity with MOE primary school syllabus in English, Chinese, Math and/or Science
- Good communication and classroom management skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic and nurturing with a proven ability to connect well with children
- Proposed contract period: 2 months from 15 May 15 to 14 July (can be discussed)
- Working hours: Mon to Fri, 10am to 7pm (with 1 hour lunch break)
