Job Description
Assistant to Trader Operation
- Ensure smooth loading & discharging operations to prevent demurrage.
- Responds to vessel issues, coordinating with concerned parties until resolution.
- Ensure shipping documents are done correctly from cargo conclusion to payment received.
- Perform market segment research.
- Long term / short term forecast of commodity / vessel market to form trading strategies to maximise profit and manage risks.
- Drafting & sending of sales contracts to buyers.
- Manages a fleet of regularly chartered vessels to facilitate trading.
- Actively maintains close business relationships with buyer, seller & shipowner.
- Market development of various commodities.
- Degree/diploma in Maritime, no experience required, TRAINING PROVIDED!
- Experience in Maritime, shipping, chartering in Maritime industry/Oil/Commodity Trading
