Assistant Underwriter - Fine Arts & SpeciesSingaporeAs an Assistant Underwriter / Underwriter, you will be responsible for assisting underwriters in all tasks to help deliver a profitable Underwriting service to our clients as you develop your underwriting skills. Your key tasks include assisting with underwriting business within the agreed business plan and work towards obtaining individual underwriting authority; building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients; controlling timely implementation of new and renewed accounts.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?\xc2\xb7 Reviewing submissions including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports while conducting appropriate research to determine degree of risk for each account.\xc2\xb7 Underwriting under guidance (within limits); preparing individual cases for pricing and modelling, liaising with Actuaries to deliver technical pricing to Underwriter; using modelling systems to aid the underwriting process; conducting research as requested by Underwriter.\xc2\xb7 Conducting pre-underwriting for renewals, handling endorsements on active business, conducting specific analyses for new business, and following up on renewals.\xc2\xb7 Assist the business group in maintaining and developing their book of business while developing the necessary skill sets and defined authority to accept risk in underwriting of a profitable account.\xc2\xb7 Controlling timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards.\xc2\xb7 Assist the business group in maintaining and developing their book of business while developing the necessary skill sets and defined authority to accept risk in underwriting of a profitable account.\xc2\xb7 Understand the strategy and financial targets of AXA XL Insurance and those applicable to the business unit.
