Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore\'s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

Mandai Global, an entity that is part of the Group, will establish and operate new lines of business anchored in creating positive outcomes for nature and wildlife.

The AVP Finance manages a team and plays a supporting role to the VP Finance in ensuring compliance for all the accounting and tax matters of the project and group, taking lead in projects and grant related activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Project accounting

Responsible for overall project accounting related matters including monthly management and financial reporting.

Monitor contracts\' cost vs budget progress and explain variance.

Ensure monthly Project Cost Report is allocated according to funding and development budget.

Budgeting

Collate the annual planning and budget process by working with the respective project leads to develop the overall budget for all project initiatives.

Work closely with the project team to ensure that project design and development activities are in accordance with allotted budget.

Review all budget reallocation requests to ensure sufficient budget in the various funding buckets.

Grant Management

Collate and provide relevant information for relevant government bodies and the external auditors for the recurring grant drawdowns and grant certification process.

Responsible for the period end reporting in terms of grant availability, grant draw downs, payments to date and grant reconciliation.

Liaise with government and auditors for all matters and transactions relating to grant audit.

Advise various workstreams on grant issues. Manage workflow between all workstreams to ensure a smooth and timely grant request.

Procurement and tender related

Review procurement requisitions and change requests to ensure costs are according to funding and development budget allocation.

Perform financial assessment for Prequalification, attend tender interviews, evaluation, price opening and other ad-hoc meetings.

System Implementation

Involved in finance related system implementation and not limited to perform user acceptance testing, end-user training and end-users support.

Other accounting related matters as assigned by VP Finance.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Degree in Accountancy

At least 10 years of accounting experience in keeping full set of accounts including corporate tax and GST reporting.

Knowledge of project accounting is preferred.

Hands-on data-entry experience in SAP FICO modules.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Highly meticulous and strong cost control focus. Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and highly matrix environment, while meeting tight deadlines.

Strong communication skills - ability to communicate financial matters effectively to non-financial managers. Ability to work as a team and to develop financial knowledge and commercial awareness among the project team.

Strong team player and has experience at least 1 year of experience of supervisory experience. Willing to roll up sleeves to perform transactional tasks and update excel reports.

Experience in prior large-scale complex structures preferred.
