Job Description


Reporting to DVP, the incumbent will be leading the overall warehouse operations in Singapore and ensuring the strategic assets are utilised according to the end-to-end business strategy. This is a key role, ensuring operations are runs effectively and efficiently.

Successful incumbent will be tasked to maximise operational productivity, minimise costs and meet & exceed customer expectations. High on the agenda will be safety, productivity improvement, site profitability, change management, strategic decision making and continuous improvement. The role has a P&L accountability for the overall warehouse operations in Singapore.

Operations, Resources and Vendor Management

  • Lead, plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development, so as to meet and/or exceed organizational performance plans
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development
  • To shape, co-ordinate and deploy effectively the personnel resources and organizational structure through proper recruitment, induction, training and career development on operational staff. And for other resources and facilities, he/she has to ensure security level, health and safety level be attained at or above industry-practice level in order to protect the interest of the shareholders, staff and customers.
  • Vendor management through cost and risk analysis, establish service standards, manage performance metrics.
  • Responsible for achieving the business goals set by Company, which includes transforming the warehouse business towards an end-to-end business model utilising all Company\'s capabilities and assets
Excellent Service Quality
  • To plan, measure, control, review and take timely corrective actions to ensure that service level is attain and best practices are shown.
  • Drive a customer centric culture within the department
  • Ensure the agreed KPIs set forth by the customer and management are met
  • To ensure best in class customer experience in line with company vision and policy
Cost/Budget Planning and Control
  • To manage and ensure smart spending without compromising the service level.
  • Ensure 3rd party contractors are employed with competitive costs in relation to market conditions, by conducting benchmarking exercises periodically as well as working with Procurement to ensure best practises and processes are in compliance.
Innovative Practices to Support Growth
  • To continuously enhance market competitiveness encouraging and developing new ideas in procedures, systems and working attitudes.
  • To manage the manpower deployment and ensure smooth operations, at all times.
  • To drive and promote health and safety programs within the department.
  • To implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operations towards higher productivity
People Management
  • Responsible for team performance and development
  • Drive a culture of high performance and ownership.
Continuous Improvement, Operations Excellence & Safety
  • Continuously evaluates, measures and refines processes to improve service, quality, and efficiency
  • Familiar with concepts like LEAN and incorporates such practices and methodologies
  • Ensures compliance in operations with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Maintains strong safety and facility cleanliness programs in compliance with company requirements
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business or Logistics Management or relevant disciplines
  • Possess 5-8 years of experience in a supply chain environment
  • Hands-on Operations and familiar with LEAN and continuous improvement concepts
  • Prior experience in an e-commerce fulfilment operation
  • Champion of end-to-end supply chain operations in B2B and B2C environment
  • Experience in leading teams, managing and driving performance
  • Ability to work in a complex \'Matrix Environment\'
  • Stake Holder management experience
