Job Description


To align business objectives with employees and line managers in designated business units. The incumbent serves as a consultant to the line managers on HR related matters. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and line managers, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to line managers and employees that reflect and support objectives of the organization.

Incumbent will be the appointed lead and front all IR related matters. Drive open conversations and engagement with union to build on the good LMR in place.

Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering

  • Serve as the HR Consultant, Advisor, Guide & Coach assigned line managers and employees on HR policies, programs, practices, processes, employment issues and related etc
  • Align HR strategy / directives with business strategy and objectives
  • Analyze trends/metrics and anticipate HR-related needs; communicate needs pro-actively with various stakeholders - business leaders and HR Community to develop integrated solutions and deliver value-added services
HRBP Operations
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of HR programs & processes and legal/statutory requirement to day-to-day management of employees, resolve employee relations and operations issues including interpretation of policies and guidelines
  • Provide guidance and inputs on business structures, workforce planning, succession planning, compensation and talent pipeline
  • Partner with line managers and employees to foster positive work relationships, improve the morale to increase productivity and retention
  • Guideline managers on performance management system [coaching, counselling, career development, moderation/calibration and the performance improvement process with non-performing employees]
  • Advise and guide line managers in the discipline, grievance handling and investigations processes
  • Provide periodic reports for management, as necessary [statutory required] or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment
Employee Engagement
  • Lead programs and activities on employee engagement
  • Ensure staff disciplinary and grievance handling are dealt with and handled appropriately and in accordance to the policies and regulatory requirements
Industrial Relations
  • Liaison for industrial relation issues
  • Work closely with union on employee matters and build good labour management relationship
  • Front IR related activities and events
Others
  • Drive HR projects as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Minimally 6 years of experience in HR business partnering or generalist with 2 years managing a team.
  • MUST have Industrial Relations / Union experience
  • Conversant with HR practices and knowledge of the Employment Act and statutory requirements in relations to employment.
  • Resourceful, strong analytical skills and able to think operationally and strategically
