AVP Sustainability Advisory Team, Global Wholesale Banking:

As a part of the Sustainability Advisory Team within the Global Wholesale Banking Sustainability Office, you will play a key role in shaping the future of banking through (a) developing innovative solutions and advisory that support our customers' transition and broader sustainability goals, (b) managing our net zero targets for our financed emissions and (c) ensuring the integrity of our sustainable finance transactions. You will be part of a team that is passionate about creating a positive impact on the environment and society. How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to proactively be ahead of the curve with the latest trends and developments in sustainability and banking. You will work closely with our customers to understand their transition and sustainability needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements. You will need to be a strategic thinker with an eye for the details as well as a keen executer.
What you do
With the focus on sustainable cities and SMEs, help build strong sustainable and transition financing capabilities across key markets to contribute to business growth, client value creation, and market leadership.
Ensure the integrity of sustainable finance transactions and have a deep understanding of relevant and emerging sustainability standards and regulations.
Engage clients and business teams on transition opportunities and risks to open doors to new business and financing opportunities.
Contribute to thought leadership creating useful content on transition and sustainability for our clients and partners
Support wholesale banking's net zero reporting for OCBC's financed emissions
Being open, adaptable, and flexible given the evolving nature of the role driven by macroeconomic and industry changes and implications on sustainability and energy transition
Who you are
A university degree and at least 6 years of professional experience with a focus on sustainability (beyond reporting), or industry experience within the built environment, engineering, investing/ funds, or public sector.
Learning and growth mindset with curiosity to stay abreast of market trends and developments in sustainability, policies and industries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers and stakeholders at all levels
Passionate about sustainability and committed to making a positive impact on the environment and society
