About the Department


The Channels & Digitalization function enables end-to-end seamless connectivity for UOB customers across all physical and digital touchpoints of the Bank. Designed to be in tune with our customers\xe2\x80\x99 banking preferences, we strive to enhance engagement and deliver exemplary experiences across our network of branches, self-service machines and digital platforms. We collaborate with FinTech ecosystem partners to keep abreast of developments in the FinTech innovation space and to embed ourselves in our customers\xe2\x80\x99 lives. We also harness customer insights to help us deliver new business models and digital innovations, and to build deeper relationships with our customers.

Job Responsibilities


Reporting to the Head of Workforce Development at Group Channels & Digitalisation (GCD), he/she will be responsible for designing and conducting training and development programs in support of our colleagues\xe2\x80\x99 growth and aspirations, whilst providing them with the best employee experience.
  • Innovate and drive new learning methodologies to pique learning interests.
  • Support the learning needs review based on competency frameworks and learning roadmaps
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training events through feedback, discussion and branch visits, as well as analysis of business outcomes, pre and post-training
  • Support the rollout of all training programs and handle post-learning programs duties such as payment and application for government grant schemes
  • Curate an end-to-end experience for new hires, from onboarding to on-the-job experience - including conducting new hire orientation as part of staff onboarding.
  • Work closely with Group Human Resource Business Partner in reviewing the hiring process and criteria
  • Redesigning of roles to ensure people upskill and future proof, whilst keeping in line with the changing banking landscape.
  • Participate in the review of effectiveness of workforce planning strategies to meet business needs and recommend enhancements.
  • Update & maintain dashboard on key manpower & transactions indicators/trending and to drive the use of data-driven analytics for decision making.
  • Active involvement in all Workforce Development team initiatives such Learning Journey (including Branch Analyst), Employee Development Programme, Future Leaders Programme and etc


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor degree with at least 3 years working experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Team player, self-motivated and resourceful with a positive attitude.
  • Strong analytical, ideation, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
