Job Description


PURPOSE AND SCOPE
To lead commercial and financial evaluation, including but not limited to end-to-end due diligence and financial modelling, to support the various projects undertaken by Singapore and Southeast Asia market on renewable and low carbon energy transactions. The position will be part of the Commercial team for Singapore and Southeast Asia Market, and will play a key leadership role in the financial analysis of business opportunities and strategies, covering both greenfield developments and brownfield acquisitions (M&A).

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead and drive evaluation of greenfield/brownfield acquisitions and actively lead the team in the project execution process to transaction close including coordinating the end-to-end due diligence process, risk analyses/mitigation measures, commercial deal structuring, project documentation, negotiations, and execution of financing activities to reach successful financial close.
2. Manage and address deal and/or project financing activities, preparation and review of project documentation including but not limited to letters of interest, definitive agreements, and project financing agreements
3. Drive the execution of group strategic acquisitions and divestments, including leading and managing cross-functional and cross-border deal teams
4. Develop financing plan for greenfield investments, originate, negotiate and secure project financing facilities and manage relationships with commercial lenders and other financial institutions, including multilaterals and Export Credit Agencies
5. Prepare and present investment proposals for senior management, Exco and/or Board approvals
6. Undertake corporate functional reviews of new investment projects, identify and form independent views of key assumptions, valuation and risk drivers and stress-test financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on valuation and returns
7. Supervise the work (including financing modelling analyses) of, as well as develop and mentor the junior members of the team to continuously develop and improve inhouse M&A and deal structuring capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
2. At least 12 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience, with at least 5 years in leading the execution of M&A/project financing transactions and driving transactions
3. Strong understanding of corporate finance and valuation techniques, financial statement analyses, M&A and investment risk assessment and structuring deals
4. Analytical, highly numerate, hands-on and rigorous, with strong problem solving, presentation and project management skills
5. Candidates with relevant industry experience (renewables and utilities) preferred.
