About the Department
You will be part of the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) team within Group Retail that covers a range of banking segments and products. You are a competent subject matter expert in anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism, sanctions and fraud.

Job Responsibilities
To enable smooth execution of the bank's governance framework and controls, strong understanding and collaboration with the Business Units/operational team is necessary. You will provide interpretation, advisory and recommendations to the BUs for the implementation of AFC-related policies and practices.
We aim to inculcate risk awareness in the routine, to nurture an ethical culture and professionalism within our workforce. As a member of the risk, compliance and control function in the bank, you will suggest recommendations to sharpen our risk awareness and provide solutioning on how to manage any emerging areas for improvement/risks/trends and sharpen our focus on the higher risk areas to manage, prevent and mitigate potential AML/CFT/sanctions/fraud issues.
To raise the AFC awareness of the BUs and keep them engaged on the topic, we want to implement fresh and innovative modes of content delivery which are key to enable them to relate to the topic. You are a team player and can collaborate with the BUs to build an efficient environment for them to operate effectively.
You will keep abreast of regulatory developments in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing activities and assess its impact on Group Retail, and the implications on the bank.
Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day advisory to BUs for customer on-boarding and retention of customer relationships
  • Proactively suggest suitable and relevant operational advisory to BUs for key processes such as customer on-boarding and retention of customer relationships
  • Identify regulatory risk and AML/CFT requirements to assess impact on Group Retail
  • Review new business initiatives for compliance to AML/CFT governance framework and controls
  • Participate in strategic AML projects and initiatives to advise on AML controls
  • Assist BUs to operationalize and develop processes and controls to manage risks
  • Conduct investigation into suspected ML/TF activities
  • Facilitate the gathering and provision of data/information for management oversight
  • Conduct trainings to raise staff awareness on AML/CFT controls, trends and typologies
  • Review audit findings from internal & external reviews to assess adequacy of controls and facilitate formulation of corrective actions
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related fields
  • Working knowledge of MAS 626 Regulations and Guidelines
  • Relevant 5-7 years of experience in AML/CFT/Sanctions or relevant Audit or Regulatory experience
  • ACAMs certification and prior experience in AML compliance and control functions is preferred
  • Resourceful, meticulous, analytical with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of applications.
