About the Department
The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Job Responsibilities
GWB's business systems are used by all coverage teams, product teams, and the respective business support teams globally. As a Product Owner (AVP), you will play a key role in managing and enhancing various business systems while also contributing to broader product ownership responsibilities across multiple areas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Ownership and Strategy
xc2xb7 Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements across multiple systems.
xc2xb7 Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align with business goals and user needs.
xc2xb7 Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy.
xc2xb7 Gather and document business requirements.
xc2xb7 Verify that functional specifications are correctly written and align with business requirements.
2. Effective System Support
xc2xb7 Assist in providing timely production support to global users for various business systems.
xc2xb7 Help ensure timely resolution of production defects.
xc2xb7 Understand business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements through system enhancements, automation, and analytics capabilities.
xc2xb7 Explore and identify performance insights through data analytics across different systems.
xc2xb7 Assist in generating and analyzing monthly performance reports.
xc2xb7 Support the implementation and continuous improvement of automated UAT test scripts.
xc2xb7 Review and manage system BCP activities.
xc2xb7 Assist in managing the system enhancement budget, including prioritizing change requests through proper impact analysis and managing delivery effort estimation within the yearly budget.
xc2xb7 Ensure appropriate system security access design.
xc2xb7 Support internal and external audit requests and any actions required to address observations identified.
xc2xb7 Develop skills to provide effective support to businesses, including both functional and business knowledge.
3. Project Management and Participation
xc2xb7 Assist in quarterly releases and projects involving various business systems, including but not limited to:
xc2xb7 Operating model analysis, including current state assessment, target journey design, and fit/gap analysis.
xc2xb7 Business requirement gathering and documentation.
xc2xb7 Functional specification review.
xc2xb7 UAT planning, test scenarios, and script development.
xc2xb7 Manage and participate in UAT.
xc2xb7 Post-live user training and support.
xc2xb7 Work with various business users and other stakeholders, including the delivery team and vendors, to ensure projects are implemented on time.
xc2xb7 Work with various stakeholders to actively manage release/project risks and issues; actively source solutions to manage risks/issues.
xc2xb7 Participate in other projects requiring business systems involvement.
Job Requirements
xc2xb7 Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
xc2xb7 At least 5 years of experience in product management or product ownership, with experience in managing multiple systems being a plus.
xc2xb7 Proven track record in product development and implementation, including streamlining business processes and connecting data to derive business insights, such as increasing productivity and improving customer experience.
xc2xb7 Strong communication and leadership skills.
xc2xb7 Passion for technology adoption to drive a high-performance workforce.
xc2xb7 Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
xc2xb7 Experience working across geographies and cross-functional teams.
xc2xb7 Ability to manage multiple tasks and initiatives and interface with various levels of management.
xc2xb7 Adaptable and willing to thrive in a dynamic environment.
xc2xb7 Experience managing a CRM system or E-Sign platform is a plus.
