:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate/ Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications to support and execute internal and external communication strategies. This role is responsible for crafting compelling communication narratives, supporting media engagement/relations, and contributing to impactful communication strategies that will help advance the mission of building Singapore into a giving nation. * Conduct research on the latest media trends and stay on top of the local media and journalism landscape

• Analyse news stories to spot opportunities for NVPC to insert a point of view
• Ideate creative and impactful angles and opportunities to articulate NVPC's vision, mission, values, purpose and impact internally and externally.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure integration and alignment in brand, messaging and expected outcomes.
• Engage different departments and teams to digest, translate and present NVPC announcements, research, programmes and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, particularly the media.
• Contribute to the success of media events and media relations efforts by building media lists, drafting pitches, coordinating interviews and briefing sessions.
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and insights for continuous improvement.
• Draft and edit internal communication materials such as posters and EDMs to effectively engage NVPC employees.
• Handle day-to-day administrative tasks associated with communications projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in PR, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related
• 2+ years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, or a related role. Experience in the public sector is desired.
• Understands how to work well with key journalists, senior spokespersons and different types of stakeholders in the public service, corporate, non-profit sector
• Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
• Strong research and analytical skills to gather and interpret data for strategic insights.
• Bilingual business competency in any of these languages: English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Keen interest in current affairs, news, ESG and societal issues
