Overview of Division/Department

Data Management (DM) is a section under Strategic Development Group of Singapore Administration Department . DM\'s mission is to resources and efforts on making efficient and consistent use of our Bank\'s data assets, and lay the foundation for our Bank to strategically harness the power of data in Bank\'s processes and services. There are principally two teams under DM : (i) Data Governance & Quality Management and (ii) Data Insights & Analytics.

Job Responsibilities
An experienced Data visualisation specialist as part of the Data Management Team under the Strategic Development Group to expedite the adoption of data visalusation skills in Singapore Office. The candidate will be key in forwarding the use of new visualisation software for translating data into insights that can help Management drive informed decision-making. You will work closely with our business users, IT infrastructure enginners and other stakeholders to design data architecture with the aim of creating compellingl data visualizations that deliver impacftful insights.

Core responsibilities include:

Data Analysis, Design and Preparation: Work closely with different business teams and subject matter experts to understand the data, business requirements and the insights that need to be conveyed through visualizations using Tableau.

Visualization Development & Interaction : Create dynamic, interactive and static data visualizations using various tools and programming languages such as Tableau, Power BI,Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn), .

Testing and Validation: Ensure the accuracy, functionality, and performance of data visualizations through testing and validation processes together with business owners.Gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users and make necessary improvements to enhance the effectiveness of visualizations

Optimization: Optimize data visualizations for performance, responsiveness, and scalability, especially when dealing with large datasets.

Dcumentation: Proper documentation of the program created (including data sources, methodologies, design decisions, and best practices) and communicate them clearly to the stakeholders.

Job Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Econometrics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. Doctorate or Master\'s degree is a plus.

Proven experience (3+ years) in a data-oriented position (such as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer), preferably in a data-rich environment.Strong professionalism in the manner he or she conducts himself at work.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop creative solutions to data challenges.

Demonstrable proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.

Practical hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or others.

Both Python and Tableau knowledge is a must.

Excellent data analysis skills with attention ot details. . Ability to uncover meaningful insights from complex / large data sets. Strong foundational understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.

Must possess excellent communication skills to explain and present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
