Our client is one of the largest listed real estate investment managers globally. With US over $150 billion in total assets under management (AUM), their fully integrated development and investment management platform extends across key APAC markets, including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, India, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. They provide a diverse range of real asset investment solutions and New Economy real estate development opportunities across our private funds business, which allow capital partners and customers to capitalise on the most significant secular trends in APAC.

THE ROLE:

As part of our continued growth, they are looking to hire a further two professionals into their Fund Management & Capital Group. You would become part of a centralised regional team of international colleagues who lead our capital raising efforts in the region, linking up with Country representatives. The right candidate will have the gravitas and experience to lead a Capital Raising process but will have the support of the wider team and network. You will have raised Institutional Capital before and have strong Real Estate knowledge. They already deal with 12 of the Top 20 Real Estate Institutional Investors globally, so you do not need to come with a significant rolodex. However, relationships with Smaller Institutions, Pensions, Insurance companies, Family offices and HNW\'s in the region would be a significant advantage. The position would ideally be based in Singapore but could be based in one of their other Asian office locations for the right candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor\'s degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years\' career experience experience within a placement agent, an investment bank, or a private equity fund manager (real estate) company with an investor relations/ capital raising focus.
  • Proven history of success in building investor relationships and raising capital for investment products.
  • Practical experience of fund raising from initial marketing through to final documentation.
  • Keen understanding of the real estate asset class (Industrial/Logistics experience is a plus).
LANGUAGES:
  • Fluent in English spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages (European or Asian) is an added advantage but not a pre-requisite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute investor relations plans and strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing investors and identify new potential investors for our products including institutional investors, HNW individuals and family offices.
  • Manage assigned fundraising mandates serving as the product specialist.
  • Diligently utilize CRM system to memorialize regular investor contact and facilitate communication across the group.
  • Facilitate regular communication of portfolio updates to investors.
  • Conduct market research to identify new potential investors and market trends.
  • Prepare and present investor presentations and pitchbooks to support capital raising efforts.
  • Coordinate investor meetings and events.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of offering documents and subscription agreements.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to ensure alignment and to stay up to date on investment products, performance, and market trends.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on capital raising activities and progress toward fundraising goals.
