About this Role

The T&O DC team is part of DBS Transformation Group, and our responsibilities include building scalable analytics solutions using data pipelines, visualization, advanced statistics, AI/ML technologies leveraging on-premises data analytics platforms to create/amplify the business impact in operation performance management and empower consumer banking business with actionable insights in the most strategic transformation. We are looking for a big data analyst and delivery professional to drive data driven initiatives by closely working with operation stakeholder, user, data engineering and technology teams. The candidate is expected to be able to perform in multiple areas seamlessly viz. biz/data analysis, data science, architecture design, solutions, and pipeline development, as well as delivery and stakeholder management.

Job Responsibilities

• Gather, document user requirements, perform exploratory data analysis to understand customer struggles in the journey and create actionable insights through journey analytics

• Access and integrate data from multiple sources

• Create analytical deep-dives using advanced statistical methods to understand the primary drivers behind customer struggles

• Derive business relevant insights within a horizontal organization (working with multiple stakeholders)/Able to understand and solve the business problem by translating into a data model and building insights into an actionable outcome

• Design, develop, test and deploy end to end analytics solutions and models (both data pipeline and visualization)

• As for visualizations, be able to design user friendly and data efficient outputs in various forms (from operational reports to dashboards aimed at non-analytics users and senior management)

• Support full lifecycle of experimentation through journey analytics and machine learning driven insights/Analyze experiment results and identify opportunities for improving experiment uplift; propose new experiment iterations based on the insights from the data

• Work with cross-functional teams and able to execute well in a fast-paced and agile environment

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in big data analyst role; relevant experience in banking or financial industry is an advantage.

• Experience in data processing/manipulation involves large datasets; and be able to transform structured and unstructured data sources for analysis;

• Strong technical skills in data wrangling, analysis, transformation, and query optimization using Python, Pandas, Pyspark and SQL; Visualization tool experience on QlikView, Tableau;

• Familiarize with CICD deployment tools like Jenkins, Airflow, Jira, Confluence;

• Possess technical mindset, great attention to detail, independent and a \'can-do\' attitude

• Highly self-driven and operate under "Agile" methodology; Proven ability to roll up your sleeves and contribute quickly

• Ability to work under tight deadline and handle multiple projects; Must exhibit full sense of ownership of the platform worked on;

• Be data sensitive with story-telling skills and good problem-solving skills;

• Able to pick up new methods/techniques quickly and apply towards solving a problem at hand

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• A team player with good time management, organizational and prioritization skills
