We are now seeking a dynamic Associate Creative Director to join our talented team and take the lead in crafting and delivering bold, creative campaigns.
About You:
We are seeking a seasoned creative leader who brings both big ideas and exceptional execution. As an Associate Creative Director, you will be responsible for crafting and leading creative strategies that shape the direction of key projects. Your ability to generate innovative concepts, inspire a creative team, and deliver award-winning work will be essential in ensuring that Elmwood's creative output continues to set the bar for excellence. You will collaborate with the Executive Creative Director and all departments, mentor your creative team to help them grow while driving impactful results for clients.
Requirements:
Leadership:

• Work closely with the Executive Creative Director to set the vision for the Singapore studio. Instilling best practices and creative ways of working, actively being part of the recruitment, growth and development of current and future team members.
• Lead and inspire a team of creatives, providing mentorship and guidance to the designers, and other team members.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Provide clear direction and feedback, ensuring the team stays motivated and aligned with project goals, while maintaining a culture of excellence.
• Lead the development of creative strategies and ensure they align with client objectives and brand vision, while consistently pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Delivery:

• Generate and lead the development of big ideas that push bounderies and challenge the brief - delivered with detail, craft and exceptional creativity.
• Oversee the creation and execution of brand first, creative concepts. From ideation through to final delivery, ensuring they meet both the creative brief and client expectations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing the creative process to ensure timely delivery of exceptional work that exceeds client expectations.
• Provide direction and feedback to design, visualisation, motion and artwork teams, ensuring the creative output is polished and impactful across all touch points throughout the design process
• Champion the creation of high-quality case studies and award entries, showcasing our work and the impact it has had on our clients' brands.

Relationships:

• Develop strong and lasting relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, establishing yourself as a trusted creative partner
• Represent Elmwood at client meetings, confidently presenting ideas and driving discussions that inspire confidence and build trust
• Actively contribute to the studio's reputation by managing PR, networking, and marketing initiatives to raise our profile within the industry
• Develop and lead relationships with external suppliers and freelance partners
• Collaborate with other departments, including Client Partners and Account Directors, to ensure seamless delivery of creative projects and to explore new opportunities
• Lead the nurturing and growth of client relationships, working to expand project scope and uncover new revenue opportunities

Commercials:

• Take ownership of the creative budget and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
• Show commercial leadership by identifying new opportunities to drive revenue through the expansion of project scope and supporting new business.
• Ensure creative work not only meets high standards but also aligns with client objectives, business goals, and Elmwood's strategic direction.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer insights to enhance creative offerings and ensure Elmwood remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Maximize the creative output on projects by overseeing the team's workflow and ensuring that new opportunities are capitalized upon.

Thinking Broader:

• Drive the development of Elmwood's creative vision and direction, ensuring it remains fresh, innovative, and aligned with market trends and client needs.
• Continuously learn and stay informed about new systems, processes, and creative tools to enhance the studio's capabilities and improve efficiency.
• Actively contribute to the studio's internal development programs, including the delivery of presentations for the L&D program and fostering a culture of learning.

What you have done:

• At least 8 years of experience in a creative leadership role, within a brand design environment, with a portfolio showcasing a wide range of successful brand creation and activations across identity, packaging and the wider brand world.
• An experienced people manager who can lead, guide, inspire, and develop a team, helping them grow both creatively and professionally.
• Exceptional creative skills with a keen eye for design, typography, and storytelling, backed by a strong understanding of strategic branding and design.
• Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to generate bold, fresh ideas tailored to specific client needs across multiple platforms.
• Excellent presentation skills with the confidence and eloquence to sell ideas effectively to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• A strategic and commercial mindset with experience in managing budgets, resources, and deadlines.
• Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members while motivating them to push their creative boundaries.
• A deep understanding of print, digital, motion design, with up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
