The Role Responsibilities

  • Transaction Banking Group Product Management is hiring an Associate, Card Payables who will support the preparation, development, go-to-market, launch and ongoing optimization of the commercial card proposition for Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking (CCIB) clients. The role will be for a candidate who will be interested and keen to develop specialist skillset in commercial card and generalist knowledge of product management within the cash management and working capital space.
  • You will be supporting the cash management agenda to fulfil CCIB clients\xe2\x80\x99 need for a more efficient method of payment in all areas of procurement, from travel & entertainment (T&E) to B2B. You should be comfortable with data, market research, development of commercialisation material and peripherals that will be deployed to our key transaction banking markets. The candidate will also be required to develop and demonstrate an ability to manage stakeholders within and outside of transaction banking.
  • In addition, you will also be responsible for supporting external partnerships with card processors, card schemes, vendors and fintech companies within the commercial card payment eco-system.
Strategy
  • Support senior product managers in the delivery of the commercial card strategy and value proposition, especially in the areas of consulting, competitor analysis, process design, governance, and control.
Business
  • Develop commercialisation and go-to-market material to support internal and external training, marketing, and business development opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities within the commercial card proposition and jointly develop such opportunities into viable client value propositions that will drive value for clients in the commercial cards space.
  • Work independently and in support of senior product managers to manage change within Standard Chartered, ensuring synchronisation of efforts across multiple stakeholders across Transaction Banking, Digital Channels, IT, Operations, Risk and Control.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholder to drive positive change towards the delivery of a sustainable commercial card proposition with the objectives of minimising cost to serve, and delivery of a competitive client and cardholder experience.
Risk Management
  • Support senior product managers in change management by coordinating risk and governance efforts in the areas of product governance processes, risk approval committees.
Governance
  • Ensure adherence to all governance policies and framework in all aspects of deliverables.
  • Complete all required governance and regulatory obligation and training where applicable.
Regulatory and Business Conduct

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate commercial cards in product or implementation role.
  • Excellent product development, business development knowledge within corporate commercial cards space
  • Experience in international product management.
  • Able to stretch in implementation, market management, product management.
