Associate Director, Fraud Investigations (Group Internal Audit)

We are seeking for an Assistant Director for the Group Internal Audit team to lead Fraud Investigations within Singtel.
Key respoonsibilities

• Manage all alleged fraud and whistle-blower investigations, particularly complex and sensitive investigations involving higher level management across Singtel Group, excluding Australia.
• Assists with investigation matters involving Singtel Group Joint Venture companies on fraud investigations, investigation policies and processes and fraud awareness training.
• Manage and develop the team of investigators located in Singapore and the United States. This includes guiding, coaching, mentoring, and building investigation capabilities.
• Develop strategic relationships internally and externally at a senior level, with internal business units such as Legal, Regulatory, Group Risk, External Fraud, Information Security, Data Protection Office and Law Enforcement agencies, etc. to facilitate the actioning of investigations and successful prosecution, sharing of intelligence, as well as successful recoveries of monies.
• Drive fraud awareness training, benchmarking of best practices and knowledge sharing across Singtel Group and the Regional Associates.
• Management and promotion of Singtel Group Whistle-blower hotline and affirmation of Singtel Group\xe2\x80\x99s zero tolerance policy against any fraud, unethical or dishonest action across Singtel Group, Singtel contractors, agents and any representative across Singtel and its subsidiaries.
• Improvement of work processes and identification of data analytics and forensic/ technological tools to achieve greater productivity in the investigation function. Partner the Data Analytics team within Internal Audit to enhance fraud risk management.
• Identification of process and control gaps that led, or could lead, to commission of fraudulent activity, recommendation of actions to Management and secure Management commitment to implement same and follow up on implementation of recommendations by Management.
• Provide support to Fraud Risk Management Committee and Audit Committee in ensuring effective management of fraud and related risks in the Singtel Group business and related operations.

Requirements:

• Qualifications in Fraud Risk Management, Investigations, or other related disciplines or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrable investigative and police liaison experience (minimum 7 years required)
• Practical knowledge of fraud investigation, including the extent, pattern, cause of fraud, fraud prevention, fraud risk assessment, management and reporting.
• Ability to see a bigger picture and put together the findings of fraud investigations articulately, clearly, concisely and accurately.
• A good understanding of Singapore criminal legislation.
• Working knowledge on understanding of Privacy Legislation.
• A sound understanding of Telecommunications Products and their exposure to Fraud Risk.
• Certification as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), experience with Data Mining and Forensic Tools (e.g. Nuix)
• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment, comprehend complex issues, determine core issues and provide solutions within demanding time constraints
