We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, FX and Rates Non-Financial Risk - Markets and Securities Services. Principal Responsibilities

  • The role of the Non-Financial Risk lead is to support and promote the effective design of the Front Office control framework and its operating effectiveness. In particular, the below tasks have been assigned by the Global Head of NFR - GFX
  • Drive the conduct agenda for the ASEAN products and businesses, in conjunction with the Global Head of NFR
  • Support and promote the operating effectiveness of the ASEAN Front Office control framework, escalating control issues as necessary
  • Support the implementation of new policies and procedures for and on behalf of the regional and global asset classes in accordance with the Bank’s policy governance procedures
  • Work with support functions to support and promote robust controls and act as a point of escalation with regards to downstream control issues. Influence regional support functions in their remediation of control gaps
  • Be a part of the team that reviews the output of desk/control reviews, thematic reviews and other remediation/assurance work and monitor actions to ensure effective closure in a timely manner
  • Drive the focus on key control issues and emerging risks within the ASEAN GFX markets
  • Act as a point of escalation with respect to internal control issues for the ASEAN GFX products
  • Coordinate with the business to support and provide relevant input to Audits
  • Monitor the implementation of audit points to ensure timely remediation and enhancement in the control environment
  • Drive the RCA for the business for the asset class and ensure that the risk assessment is reviewed on a periodic basis
  • Contribute to the identification of control enhancements within the current control environment and therefore the control change agenda for the ASEAN asset class
  • Coordinate with the business on changes which may impact key controls for the GFX ASEAN activities
  • Act as the lead point of contact/’go to person’ for ASEAN management in respect of risks and controls within the business
  • Support the Global NFR and COO teams in the development of a stronger control and conduct culture in FX

Requirements
Responsibilities
  • Degree holder, preferably with a professional qualification, with strong knowledge of internal control, governance/policy and risk management in markets
  • 7-10 years’ experience in business management, Audit or risk/control roles within a markets business
  • Strong understanding of Markets business and products, specifically with in depth knowledge of ASEAN FX business
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills to enhance standards, policies and control
  • Able to drive change and provide positive influence to achieve organisation goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate and work effectively with senior business leaders across business lines and geographies
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills and be able to perform multitask under pressure with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and ability to think and act independently
