Summary
This role will partner with local Digital Platform Partnerships (DPP) or relevant heads in the markets assigned to develop plans to achieve the LBU targets, drive year-on-year growth and build a strong foundation for sustainable long-term rapid growth across the relevant DPP channels. In addition to driving the rapid development of DPP with key digital distribution partners to increase penetration and drive sales growth, this position will facilitate business success and growth by providing critical support and advice to the DPP/Distribution Leadership and local teams as well as lead the deployment of DPP Playbook and framework to each LBU DPP partnership in scope.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • From Group perspective, champion DPP initiatives and goals that have been committed for each market under Ascend 200.

  • Develop and execute plans, in collaboration with LBUs, to grow value of new/existing partnerships by deepening relationships and penetration of their respective client bases.

  • Work closely with AIA management and key partners in the assigned markets to achieve their targets, year on year growth and building a strong foundation for long term sustainable rapid growth.

  • Work with the local DPP (or relevant) heads on their annual strategic planning exercise.

  • Provide critical strategic support and advice to the LBU CEO and leadership team.

  • Advise LBU CEOs and key regional executives on the appropriateness of local structure, talent and resourcing and play a leadership role in ensuring change where gaps exist.

  • Provide support in the following activities: Organize and lead monthly business review discussions with local DPP (or relevant) heads and their teams; lead or provide direct support in regional or LBU sponsored projects, or engage other Group functions to provide necessary resources; assist in deal negotiations and development of new business opportunities in their assigned markets.

  • Support Regional Chief Executives and Group Chief Distribution Officer as a DPP subject matter expert providing industry perspectives and functional expertise.

  • Contribute to the development of the overall DPP strategy and planning.

  • Work with other Group functions to develop regional strategies and initiatives, and to ensure alignment and implement partnership plans in the LBUs.

  • Work with other distribution channels to implement omnichannel model for AIA and share/ leverage best practices in digital distribution enablers.

  • Closely coordinate with DPP (or relevant) leadership and other Group partners to bring in subject matter expertise and/or ensure the sharing of best practices across the region.


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • At least 12 to 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Life Insurance and Financial Services with significant senior management/leadership experience

  • Senior management or LBU executive leadership experience including Agency/Partnership Distribution head and product/marketing experience

  • Strategic business and client development

  • Demonstrated development and execution of strategies and tactics

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with broad exposure to a combination of the following business disciplines: finance, marketing, strategy, customer service, operations, distribution, product

  • Sound understanding of insurance related financial metrics

  • Technical understanding needed in digital channels distribution and sound data and analytics experience

  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, reflected in impact and influence skills and confidence in high level interactions with the leadership team

  • Innovative - stays informed on cutting-edge contributions to the digital ecosystem field, sharing relevant ideas internally to balance evidence-based practices with unproven but high-potential pilots
