Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead our Thought Leadership and Strategic Communications team. This role will be pivotal in shaping the School\'s brand identity, and thus will need to be the driving force behind our marketing, communications, and content strategies.

In addition to strategic responsibilities, this role also entails leading targeted marketing campaigns to propel our school\'s growth, specifically in terms of student recruitment. The individual in this role will, therefore, drive impactful initiatives that align with the School\'s business objectives.

  • Thought Leadership Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive thought leadership strategy aligned with the School\'s vision and mission. Identify emerging trends, industry insights, and innovative approaches to position the School as a leader in the field.
  • Strategic Communication: Lead the development and execution of integrated communication strategies that effectively convey the School brand\'s messaging and key initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Faculty Members and Researchers to ensure consistent and impactful communication across various channels and touchpoints.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of high-quality and engaging content, including articles, blog posts, whitepapers, videos, and social media content. Leverage your expertise in storytelling to convey complex ideas and drive thought leadership narratives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with industry influencers, media outlets, strategic partners, and key stakeholders. Leverage these connections to amplify our thought leadership initiatives and expand our reach and impact.
  • Campaign Management: Lead marketing campaigns to drive business objectives, including student recruitment and brand awareness. Develop innovative and data-driven campaign strategies, oversee their execution, and measure their effectiveness to ensure desired outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field. Master\'s degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing communications experience, preferably with brand management experience, of which 5 years in supervisory role(s), in an advertising/PR agency or inhouse role.
  • Proven experience in thought leadership, content marketing, or a similar role within education industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute thought leadership strategies, including content creation, stakeholder engagement, and event participation.
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital platforms and social media to amplify thought leadership initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and a passion for staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
