:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 09The Team:The team is responsible for producing one of Platts\' most important benchmark assessments as well as a number of regional key price assessments, and for managing key relationships with stakeholders.Responsibilities and Impact:The reporter will join the close-knit steel raw materials benchmark team in Asia and participate in the daily iron ore assessment process. The job involves gathering pricing information and market intelligence, and then forming that information into price assessments and published market commentaries, and in-depth analytical content. The person will also be in a thought leadership position, helping Platts further cement its leading position through high-quality work. Based in Singapore, the reporter will engage with key market participants and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the market.Responsibilities:Assess daily iron ore market pricesGather commodity price information, produce price assessments and write commentaryAssess the value of benchmark prices fully in line with Platts\' rigorous and published methodologiesRegularly engage market participants, helping showcase Platts expertise, and helping to explain our methodologyAnalyze and explain fundamentals and market developments affecting pricesDevelop, expand and maintain contacts relevant to the market area of coverageFacilitate close working relationships with key stakeholdersAbility to effectively manage and develop price reporting coverage in the regionWhat We\'re Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor\'s degreeDesire to take ownership of a market in informational and relationship termsStrong command of written and spoken EnglishProficiency in another Asian language is an advantageAbility and willingness to engage with market participants on a daily basisAbility to write reports from information gathered on a daily basisAbility to work in a team settingCritical thinking abilities, strong sense of initiative and attention to detailConscientious user of ExcelExperience in market reporting and analysis, and in metals or other commodity markets would be advantageous, but not necessaryAbout S&P Global Commodity Insights
