Job Purpose

The primary role of the Associate Engineer, GIS, is to support all GIS and GIS-related applications managed by NetLink Trust.

Responsibilities :

• Provide support for GIS and GIS-related applications, including data rectification, data synchronization, and incident resolution.
• Monitor and respond to all system alerts and provide daily technical support in terms of troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues.
• Perform incident investigation and resolution, root cause analysis, and problem resolution, ensuring high availability of applications users.
• Perform any administrative tasks associated with GIS and GIS-related applications, such as user account management, log reviews, etc.
• Monitor incident and problem tickets and provide appropriate resolutions on a timely basis.
• Support all internal and external audits for GIS and GIS-related applications.
• Adhere to standard IT service delivery processes in accordance with IT policies and procedures.
• Document and update application configuration and architecture diagrams.
• Perform any other related duties/tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Director, Information Technology

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Candidates with 1-2 years of related experience in GIS or GIS-related applications will be an added advantage.
• Good skills with SQL and Perl scripting and PHP programming.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, resourceful, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Candidates with no relevant experience but with a good attitude and interest in GIS applications are welcome to apply, as on-the-job training will be provided.
