  • Plan new replacement of pipeline and cables (both fibre and copper) for diversion site upon request by third parties. The diversion request usually triggers by government agencies due to infrastructure project (eg. Road widening, MRT construction, sewer works, drainage work etc) or building developments projects (eg. Demolition of HDB for BTO or demolition of private buildings).
  • The works require engaging the Developer/Building owner/Consultant for discussion of the proposed diversion.
  • Perform site survey with the Customer/Consultant to assess the affected Singtel infrastructure. Carry out site survey related to:
  • Feasibility of pipeline diversion plan and cable proposal
  • Resolving site implementation issues with operation counterparts and engineering consultants, building developers and relevant authorities / service departments
  • Perform project study and provide Quotation to third party based on the scope of diversion and estimate project duration. Ensure proper documentation and records filing.
  • Upon confirmation by Client, plan the underground pipeline and cables at most cost-effective way and release the plan to Operation / Contractors. Liaise with external parties and coordinate internally to ensure pipe and cable projects implemented accordingly to planned schedule and hand over to Client on time.
  • Track the expenditure of the projects against Quotation and take action to seek approval for additional funds, if required.
  • Track monthly billing for ongoing projects.
  • Provide timely report to manager on project planning and work progress.
  • Preparation of monthly report for OPE Dashboard for the status of quotation sent, payment received, and diversion works.
  • Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders for timely implement of the diversion projects and update the customer on the status. 8. Support Finance by providing the documents and information required for progressively and final bill.
  • Manage customer enquiries on all matters related to the status of the diversion works.
  • Any other duties assigned by the reporting Manager.
Skills for Success:
  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering/Telecommunications or in relevant field engineering background. Example Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferably with 1- or 2-years working experience and holding Class 3 driving license.
  • Able to work during non-office hours to support network incidents and restoration.
  • Good working knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills, especially drafting of an email, keen to learn and a team player.
  • This role requires a mix of technical knowledge, communication abilities, and flexibility in work hours. It involves not only technical aspects but also administrative tasks like budgeting, reporting, and customer support.
