Our client is an international commercial law firm that is highly regarded for its expertise in insurance, dispute resolution and advisory services. The firm operates across 45 offices across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and America.The RoleThe insurance team in Asia covers most of the markets\' specialist lines: marine, property & casualty, onshore and offshore energy, construction and engineering, political risk, terrorism, trade credit, professional indemnity and financial lines. We have a full market range insurance and reinsurance capability.As a result of expansion plans, our client currently has an opportunity for experienced associates (ideally 1-4PQE) to join the team in Singapore at an exciting time of growth. The ideal candidate will have good quality commercial litigation and / or Insurance experience gained at an International Law Firm.There may also be the opportunity to work on and support international trade credit, marine insurance, commodities insurance and offshore energy lines of business. The team can offer high class work spanning the entire range of complex insurance business, including Financial Institutions (FI) and D&O, Property and Energy, International Casualty and Reinsurance risks.Key requirements:

• 1 - 4 years\' PQE (up to 4 PQE approx. There is flexibility about experience level for the right candidate).
• Experience in insurance and professional defence work (professional indemnity, financial lines and special risk claims) is highly desired but not essential.
• The firm will consider strong litigation backgrounds as well as candidates who have insurance experience. They are interested in speaking to London (or Aus) candidates who have been well trained and have good quality disputes experience and who have the mindset to retrain and learn insurance.
• Energetic about client contact and strong desire to play a full role in business development.
• Ability to build and develop rapport with clients; good client relationship skills.

Laila has almost 20 years\' experience in the legal recruitment sector, working across different areas of legal practice. She began her career with an award-winning City boutique legal search firm, working with Adam on partner level searches for individual and annually retained clients.
Laila has focused on litigation recruitment since 2017, she joined Auston Legal in March 2020 to focus solely on the insurance sector.
Laila read Law and History at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and completed her LLM with SOAS and King\'s College London in 2004.George Molyneux Buckley
After graduating with a 1st Class Law degree, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive and spending almost 10 years as an insurance lawyer, George moved into legal recruitment. He has since established himself as the only specialist recruiter of commercial insurance lawyers across the North and the Midlands.
In line with his growing reputation, George was shortlisted for Recruitment/Talent Professional of the Year at the 2022 \'Made in Manchester\' Awards.
George has assisted in moves at all levels of seniority, at both Solicitor and Partner level. Whilst he is known for his work in professional indemnity and property damage, he is experienced in all areas of non-injury insurance recruitment.
