Discover how you can grow your career, make impact and drive real change with our Winning Team today.Working Arrangement HybridThe opportunityAs a member of the legal team, this role requires independent thinking and active engagement with business stakeholders to advise and review legal arrangements and transactions in various areas of the life insurance company, including finance, risk management, IT and investment related matters. New learning opportunities will arise with rotation of portfolios within the legal team.Responsibilities:

  • Providing end-to-end legal advisory and drafting support to Procurement, Operations and Strategy Transformation, and Information Services covering statements of work, master services agreements, service level agreements, and general commercial agreements.
  • Providing legal advisory and drafting support to the Finance team, covering services agreement with auditors and other professional service providers.
  • Providing general advice including legislation interpretation to the Risk Management team.
  • Representing Legal as risk coordinator.
  • Advising on IT-related and investment-related matters.
  • Working closely with the compliance team on issues with regulatory development to offer holistic and consolidated L&C position.
  • Staying abreast of changes to the legal and regulatory landscape through industry interactions, external seminars, MAS and LIA updates and law firm publications.
  • Actively deliberating and advising on legal and regulatory updates that impact business.

What we are looking for
  • Minimum 5-7 PQE in in-house legal counsel roles with leading life insurance companies or leading financial institutions specialising in bancassurance legal work; or as a corporate commercial lawyer in top financial markets law firms with a focus on insurance related work.
  • Law degree from a reputable law school.
  • IT-related and investment-related legal work experience
  • Singapore qualified lawyer.
  • Working knowledge of MAS regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
