Job Description




Within KPMG Singapore, the Information Technology Services (ITS) team is responsible for providing quality IT services and solutions internally to support the business and improve efficiency. You will be part of the Digital Enablement, a department responsible for delivering customer-focused solutions and high-quality IT services internally to transform KPMG business units. The team partners with multiple functional teams to provide inputs to scope definitions and provide guidance, expertise, and/or assistance to ensure programs and strategies are implemented and maintained effectively leveraging available in house or third-party technologies & services.

We\'re looking for a resourceful and trustful team player who is passionate about digital technology and has the spirit to analyze and design business processes and systems. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will consult on business projects, providing technical oversight, coupled with strategic support and advise to ensure the identified business outcomes of projects are achieved.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Business Analyst, your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

  • Conduct early customer conversation, co-creation/ideation workshops and user reviews to assess current state, identify business requirements, and define the future state system specification and establish High level system requirements.
  • Performing system analyses on software programs, applications, web services etc. and efficiently integrating new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
  • Determine efficiency & functionality of systems & processes by liaising with internal departments and end-users.
  • Responsible for designing the architecture of new technology systems, fitment to existing enterprise architecture, overseeing the implementation of programs, and liaising with the software development team.
  • Providing technical leadership and support to software development teams on the system needs and troubleshooting systems issues as they arise.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and communicate recommendations of processes, tools, and act as intermediaries between business and technical teams. Facilitate communication, ensuring that both sides understand each other\'s needs and constraints.

Experience and Skills
  • A bachelor\'s degree in computer science or information technology, and an accredited qualification in management consultancy, or similar.
  • Extensive experience of 6+ yrs as technical business analysis in a related industry.
  • Understands complex enterprise, cloud-based concepts and effectively employs different design techniques; A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment models; preferably on Microsoft Azure.
  • A good understanding of BRS, HLD, LLD and UAT processes for software delivery
  • A good hands-on experience in software, integration, implementation, testing and hand over to service.
  • Knowledge of selected coding languages (e.g. JavaScript, .Net)
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, UNIX) and databases (e.g. MySQL)
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall methods of project delivery and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex concepts in clear business terminology
  • Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications and ability to problem solve complex IT issues.
