The Portfolio Management Team
The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the implementation of Dimensional\xe2\x80\x99s investment philosophy. Portfolios are structured to target sources of higher expected return that have been identified and vetted by academia and Dimensional\xe2\x80\x99s research team.
The Opportunity As an Associate Portfolio Manager/Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of managing portfolios. This includes identifying buys and sells in a systematic manner and partnering with trading teams globally to implement those decisions. The Associate Portfolio Manager/Portfolio Manager is also required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside general investment knowledge, as the role will support investment conversations with existing and prospective clients and may assist with investment stewardship conversations with companies in the Asia ex-Japan region. Because of the unique nature of Dimensional\xe2\x80\x99s investment philosophy and process, new members of the portfolio management team go through an extensive training program on our portfolios and systems for the first several months. Issuing buy and sell trades
Monitor portfolio characteristics and portfolio structure
Manage foreign currency
Elect on corporate actions
Evaluate security eligibility for portfolios
Identify areas of improvement in the investment process and propose solutions

Present to existing and prospective clients; track record of building business preferred
Potential to lead engagement calls with portfolio companies

Preferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent advanced degree and/or CFA
Ideally 5 years or more of total professional experience, with 1-3 years of experience in direct equity portfolio management and conducting investment conversations. Title of Associate Portfolio Manager versus Portfolio Manager to depend on level of past experience.
Business fluency in a regional language is a positive
Experience in SQL or any statistical programming language (or willingness to learn such)
