Job Description

Nanyang Technological University invites highly qualified candidates for the position of Associate Professor/ Full Professor (Practice) in Entrepreneurship.

The candidate will have a unique opportunity to lead the development of new curricula and programmes as well as serve as a nexus for collaboration between Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre and the startup and entrepreneurship eco-system in the region.

Applicant Requirements:

Candidates should have at least 10 years of entrepreneurship experience and/or industry experience relating to the entrepreneurship eco-system

The successful candidate will fulfill teaching and service requirements in the Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre

Candidates should possess good understanding of the entrepreneurship eco-system and the education approach to developing programmes in higher learning

Responsibilities

Develop and review of current curriculum of the entrepreneurship programmes in Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre and develop new courses for greater relevance

Develop entrepreneurship co-curricular enrichment programmes for students

Develop collaboration between NTC, innovative startups, and the entrepreneurship eco-system

Build an entrepreneurship mindset in the NTU community of students, faculty/staff, and alumni

About the Center and School

Nanyang Technopreneurship Center (NTC) was created to be the focal point of technology and entrepreneurship education, otherwise known as technopreneurship education within the University and the region. NTC is committed to nurturing and promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship endeavours through programmes such as the Minor in Entrepreneurship (MiE), Second Major in Entrepreneurship (SMiE) and Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme (OEP) for undergraduates, Masters of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation (MSc TIP) and MiniMasters for postgraduates and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) for working professionals.

The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is one of the top 5 mechanical and aerospace engineering schools in the world. With well-established industry partnerships, MAE provides an active and vibrant research environment with excellent R&D infrastructure and numerous opportunities for research funding. The school has an enrolment of over 2500 undergraduate students with over 90 faculty members and 140 full-time research staff working in well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratories. A growing research student population of over 400 is also actively engaged in strategic research and development work
