About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Quality Assurance Tester to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our banking applications. While primarily focused on manual testing, you will also be keen to learn and embrace automation testing methodologies, contributing to our continuous improvement in testing practices. Responsibility

• Manual Testing:Execute comprehensive manual test cases to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in our applications.
• Test Case Development:Create and maintain clear, concise, and effective test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Defect Management:Document, track, and retest defects using appropriate defect management tools, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Requirement Analysis:Understand and analyze project requirements, ensuring test coverage addresses all critical functionalities.
• Collaboration:Work effectively within agile teams, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver high-quality product.
• Automation Learning & Contribution:Actively participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions to learn automation testing concepts and tools. Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation scripts as your skills progress.
• Continuous Improvement:Proactively identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Adaptability to Technology: Stay abreast of new testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices, and be open to adopting them to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Embrace Gen Ai tools in testing methodologies.

Requirements

• Posses a valid ISTQB certification or an equivalent recognised qualification in software testing. Knowledge of tool like Jira, Confluence will be an added advantage.
• Testing Experience:Proven experience in manual software testing, including test case design, execution, and defect reporting.

• Domain Knowledge (Preferred):Experience in the banking or financial services industry would be an advantage.
• Technology Acumen (Preferred) : Experience in automation tools like Selenium, Ctest, Playwright is an advantage. Knowledge of Gen Ai tools an added advantage.
