We are looking for an Associate Researcher, who will develop expertise on membrane-based air freshener technology through day-to-day analysis, method development and model & simulation by utilizing a variety of instrumentation to deliver accurate and reproducible results to meet project needs as directed by manager/ technical coach. These tasks are a vital part of the process of evaluating new hypotheses, materials, formulations, and product designs.

Your team

Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, you will be part of Air Care Product Design team in Fabric and Home care sector. You will have the opportunity to work with multi-functional teams and engage with both internal and external partners.

How success looks like

Over time, you will be a key researcher in Air care membrane Product Design. Success in this role requires you to:

Conduct stability testing, determine potential risk after market launch and develop mitigation option to hedge the risk with the help of the technical coach

Provide reliable data for the project team to validate and generate new hypothesis to facilitate better and faster product design

Assist in management of the daily laboratory operation including inventory, safety & quality aspects through working with multi-functional teams and external partners

Key Responsibilities

Conduct hands-on experiments in the laboratory, including sample preparation, stability testing, analysis and simple statistical analysis

Transfer and optimize methods under coaching and produce reliable, reproducible results to meet project needs

Document, compile and summarize experimental data for review and interpretation

Communicate results and observations to the project team members, making special note of unanticipated results and/or unexpected observations

Assist in the daily operation of laboratory, e.g. procurement, safety & quality clearance

Job Qualifications

Diploma qualification in Science, Life Sciences or related fields from the local Polytechnics

3+ years relevant experience with experience in product design/ formulation

Strong lab techniques

Familiar with general technical test principles, using basic lab equipment (weighing balance, pipette, pH meter, volumetric flasks, incubator etc)

Basic Statistics skills (calculate mean, standard deviation and % relative error)

Proficient in Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to communicate and articulate results, verbally and in writing
