Job Description
We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team and provide support for our commercial biologics downstream manufacturing processes in a dynamic and diverse environment.
The primary responsibilities of this role include providing technical support, such as performing manufacturing data trending and process risk assessments, strategizing and leading process validation activities, and offering technical expertise for regulatory submissions.
In addition to these primary responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Designing, executing, and interpreting lab experiments to support plant operations, troubleshooting process issues, mapping processes, transferring processes, and evaluating novel technologies.
- A fundamental understanding of downstream processing, process scale-up, and statistical methods is essential.
- Hands-on experience working in a lab, handling downstream methods and assays, and generating solid scientific data is desirable.
Ideal candidates should have a foundational knowledge of materials science and its application towards biologics manufacturing, including product contact material justification, raw material characterization/excursions, and more. The position also requires extensive interaction with other departments, such as manufacturing, quality, purification process development, and CMC/Regulatory Affairs groups.
Expertise in cell culture, downstream, and/or analytics is highly desirable, specifically with activities such as cell culture and downstream lab-scale studies and running assays.
