The opportunity

We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate within the Infrastructure Advisory team based in our Singapore office with a passion for infrastructure projects covering digital, sustainability, transport, energy and utilities.

Our diverse team has advised on some of our largest and most complex infrastructure projects and asset management contracts working side by side with governments and the private sector to provide impactful advice and advisory services. We work on some of the highest profile and most important strategic infrastructure projects in the ASEAN region and contribute across the infrastructure lifecycle. This includes:

  • policy development and strategy
  • business case development,
  • economic, financial and commercial analysis,
  • project and programme delivery and assurance services,
  • strategic and digital transformation; and
  • taking transactions to market and supporting transaction evaluation, negotiation, execution and contract management.

Your key responsibilities

As a part of the Infrastructure Advisory team you will be working across the ASEAN region to advise clients on delivery, commercial, risk, procurement, strategic and public-private partnerships issues for large-scale infrastructure projects and programmes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Contributing to the development of clear, well written and easy to understand reports and presentations to assist our clients in understanding complex problems
  • Support the delivery of feasibility studies for government, donor agencies and private sector clients
  • Work within a partnering environment, form effective working relationships and make a positive outcome to the investment programme/sub-programmes
  • Interacting with client and consultants on a daily-basis
  • Support the leadership team in business development activities including contributing to the development of proposals and presentations
  • Building relationships with clients and other industry professionals
  • Being proactive in building and maintaining your internal network within EY
  • Being proactive in your own personal development, and the development in junior team members
  • Participate actively in the building of the ASEAN Strategy and Transactions Practice
To qualify for the role you must have
  • A Bachelor\'s degree (a Master\'s degree will be an advantage) in either accounting and finance, engineering or law
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in consulting or engineering
  • Experience in one of the following industries/sectors transport, energy, utilities, oil & gas, process and manufacturing industries, and renewables
  • An interest, passion or experience in the infrastructure sector and sustainability
  • Experience of working in project and programme management, developing procurement strategies and commercial models, contract management, stakeholder management, risk & value management
  • Appreciation of project delivery covering feasibility, design, procurement, construction and handover.
  • A diligent approach has and a strong drive to excel professionally with a drive and enthusiasm to learn and be involved in new areas/initiatives
  • Ability to develop good client relationships and good stakeholder management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a high performing team
  • Good project management skills and commitment to the delivery good quality work
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills
  • Ability to travel to client locations within Singapore or outside as necessary
Ideally, you\'ll also have
  • Familiarity or an interest in government and/or private infrastructure projects, procurement models, funding models, contracting approaches, and project delivery issues
  • Natural curiosity and the ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Positive working attitude and motivation to learn
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry
