Overview
You will be part of the Housing team which manages the student hostel, staff housing on campus and the university\'s sports and recreational facilities. The Office of Housing is a unit under the Office of Student Affairs, which seeks to contribute towards a transformative student experience and create a homely living environment for staff residents.This position is part of the Housing Allocation team within the Office of Housing.Key responsibilities
Your role is important in supporting the financial functions of the Office, and includes:

• Timely and accurate billing and collection of payment from residents and organisations, and updating of payments in the system
• Monitoring ageing/arrears and sending reminders according to policy, and maintain accurate financial records
• Processing refunds
• Preparing of financial reports
• Calculation of housing-related and sports booking fees as well as annual housing-related tax benefits
• Coordinating and liaising with other teams within the Office as well as other departments
• Supporting the general functioning of the Office including mass check-in/check-out

• Recognised Diploma with minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with billing and meticulous with detail and accuracy
• Comfortable with learning and using a system for billing and generating/customising reports. Experience with using StarRez is an advantage.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, and timely with deadlines
