As a Part-Time Associate English Teacher at The Alternative Story (T.A.S.), you will be teaching 2-hour English tuition and Creative Writing classes to Primary School students.

As a junior member of the team, you will be given the opportunity to gain valuable skills while making a difference in the lives of the next generation.

In this role, you will be trained and equipped with presentation and communication skills - to be a clear, effective and engaging communicator.

Required Qualifications

• Able to engage and effectively communicate with a group of children
• Driven to improve yourself and produce excellent work
• Collaborative and willing to go the extra mile for parents and students
• Energetic, passionate and having a youthful attitude
• Singaporeans holding GCE A-Level qualifications or equivalent (Junior College graduates or University undergraduates interested to take a weekend part-time job are welcome to apply)
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with the Singapore Primary/Secondary School English syllabus and its challenges
  

Other Details of the Role

• Attractive compensation package ($35 per hour or $70 per lesson)
• Comprehensive theory and practical training will be given on an ongoing basis, helping to continuously build your skills in areas such as communication, mentoring and problem solving
• At least 1 to 2 classes a week (2 hours per class) on the weekends (Saturday or Sunday)
• Work at one of our branches (Ang Mo Kio, Marine Parade, Bukit Timah and Clementi) and teach online
• Commit to work until 31 December 2023

Prior to teaching, you will undergo a two-month paid training programme where you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge you need to teach successfully.

Incentives For teachers who teach well and achieve certain class sizes, they are eligible to receive performance incentives (cash), subject to work performance.
