What the role is:The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore\'s central bank and integrated financial regulator.As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore\'s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore - banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It facilitates the development of infrastructure, adoption of technology, and upgrading of skills in the financial industry.Join us now, if you have a genuine interest in making an impact to help shape Singapore\'s economic and financial landscape.What you will be working on:You will be part of the team that is responsible for developing and growing Singapore\'s asset management sector, and enhancing Singapore\'s value proposition as a global funds centre for the co-location of fund management and domiciliation activities.In this role, you will:Formulate and implement strategies to attract top asset managers across both the traditional and alternative sectors including hedge funds, private equity and venture capital to establish a presence in Singapore, and to deepen and diversify their capabilities here;Work on legislative enhancements to Singapore\'s fund structures (including limited partnership and variable capital companies (VCCs)), with the aim of increasing Singapore\'s attractiveness as a leading fund domiciliation centre;Promote innovation and facilitate the adoption of technology by asset managers and the funds ecosystem, including in areas like fund tokenisation and digitalisation of the fund settlement processes; andEngage global public investors, such as sovereign wealth and public pension funds, to add to the depth and diversity of the pool of institutional investors in Singapore.As part of your work, you will be in frequent contact with industry players to keep abreast with market trends and formulate strategies to enhance the growth of the funds ecosystem.What we are looking for:Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong project management skills and ability to drive projects to completionStrong interpersonal skills and ability to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholdersExperience in the asset management or finance industry is preferredA legal background or prior experience with Singapore\'s legislative processes will be a strong advantageAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About Monetary Authority of Singapore:MAS is the central bank of Singapore.
