Job Description

What the role is:You will be part of the finance team that manages the Ministry of Finance\'s budget. The team is responsible for the effective management of resources in line with MOF\'s strategic outcomes, MOF\'s finance operations and oversight over the outsourced procurement function. As a finance officer, you will work as a business partner to support MOF directorates and departments. You will play a role in driving policy-ops-tech integration in MOF\'s finance and related functions.What you will be working on:

• Evaluate funding and fee proposals from MOF directorates and departments, as well as advise them on matters related to financial procedures and controls. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review the ministry\'s financial and procurement policies with a view to balancing governance and efficiency, including MOF\'s governance over the outsourced procurement function. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and review financing and governance frameworks for Statutory Boards, Departments and projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Administer budgeting, payment and revenue collection processes, including preparing financial returns. \xe2\x80\xa2 Streamline and digitalise work processes, particularly in the budget-procure-to-pay cycle.

What we are looking for:

• Degree, preferably in areas related to Accounting, Business or Finance \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with Government Financial policies and operations \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3 years of working experience in finance-related work in the Public Sector will be an advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 Independent, meticulous with strong analytical, writing and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of technology applications in finance-related areas will be beneficial
