The Restructuring and Insolvency Associate/Senior conducts initial market research and financial analyses. He/She participates in business development and stakeholder interactions and manages the restructuring and insolvency processes for the client engagements that he/she is responsible for. Adherence to standards of ethics and maintain quality assurance in processes is expected of the role.
Responsibilities
Analyse historical financial performance and perform cash flows analyses
Conduct financial analyses, financial statements review and assess business performance
Gather relevant data and information to develop financial restructuring plans
Prepare documents for sale of distressed assets
Research and gather information on legal entity structure of clients
Assist in drafting correspondence to clients with creditors during restructuring or insolvency
Support team with judicial management, receiverships and liquidations
Gather relevant data and information to develop a proposal and/or scheme of arrangement
Maintain internal and external relationships to drive desired outcomes
Requirements
Background in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
Experience in corporate insolvency / restructuring will be advantageous but not necessary
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions
Tenacious and willing to learn on the job
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
