What the role is:The Catchment & Waterways Department / Polder Division is recruiting for the following positions based at Polder at Pulau Tekong: As an Asst Engineer / Sr Asst Engineer / Engineer (Ops), the job scope will include, but is not limited to the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist Supervisor in managing operations and maintenance of Polder at Pulau Tekong \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor water level in the Polder and carry out water management operation in accordance with the Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry out visual inspection to check conditions of dikes and drains. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor water quality in Polder and implement measures to maintain good water quality \xe2\x80\xa2 Execute operations and maintenance for drainage and central pumping station within the Polder at Pulau Tekong \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry out Contract management for dike and drains maintenance to achieve objectives on time and within budget As an Asst Engineer / Sr Asst Engineer / Engineer (Mechanical), your job role will include, but is not limited to the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, and other mechanical systems in Polder installations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, coordinating timely repairs and replacements to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for the mechanical equipment in Polder installations and keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and work orders, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist to prepare annual budget, tender specifications and calling of tenders and quotations for maintenance works. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist to manage maintenance contracts and resources to achieve key deliverables timely and within budget. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical support and collaborate with relevant agencies, consultants, and contractors to perform testing and commissioning of Polder\'s mechanical systems. As an Asst Engineer / Sr Asst Engineer / Engineer (Electrical), your job role will include, but is not limited to the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Take charge of the operation and maintenance of electrical distribution network comprising 22kV and 400 Low Voltage (LV) electrical equipment of the pumping stations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend to scheduled Preventive and Predictive electrical maintenance of the electrical plants and equipment in the pumping stations, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend to urgent plant breakdown repair, whenever such need arises. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment in the Polder installations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry out predictive maintenance programme such as Partial discharge measurements, thermal scanning of electrical panels and Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA). \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform trouble shooting and diagnostic of electrical plant faults. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform HV switching operations of 22kV switchgears for the generators\' operation in order to support the pumps operations during utility grid supply interruptions and generators\' monthly on-load testing, and HV switchgears annual shutdown maintenance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the procurement of maintenance materials and electrical maintenance services, putting up Works orders and Purchase Orders and follow up with Completion Certificates and Goods Receipt Notes submissions, and calling quotations.What we are looking for:

• Diploma in Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering specialising in Power Engineering \xe2\x80\xa2 Physically and medically fit for field work \xe2\x80\xa2 Good communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours on short notice \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work independently and in a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess a Class 3 Driving licence Work location: Polder at Pulau Tekong Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 4 weeks from the closing date of the job advertisement.
