The Advancement Office serves as the fundraising arm of the National Healthcare Group (NHG), responsible for planning, driving, and coordinating fundraising activities across NHG institutions and their respective charity funds. This office acts as a front door to philanthropists, creating a unified branding and identity to raise awareness and foster association with NHG's causes.We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Communications team, reporting to the Senior Manager (Communications). In this role, you will support the team's fundraising efforts by assisting in the drafting and copyediting of funding-related collaterals including concept notes, funding proposals, pitch decks, appreciation letters, donor newsletters and impact reports for both external donors and internal stakeholders. Your efforts will support gift development, direct solicitations, general giving, and ultimately aim to increase donor contributions for NHG.Key responsibilities

  • Copywrite, copyedit and proofread funding-related materials including concept notes, funding proposals, grant applications, donor presentations and stewardship reports, to maintain high standards of clarity and professionalism. Conducting thorough research as needed to ensure the development process is well-informed and impactful.
  • Prepare visually compelling presentations, slide decks, and fundraising collateral. Effectively utilise templates and brand guidelines, and work with external designers, photographers, and videographers as necessary to enhance the quality and impact of materials.
  • Oversee the creation of fundraising materials by managing workflows, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining alignment with NHG's standards and objectives. Develop and maintain tracking sheets to monitor the progress of collateral production and stages of donor communication, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Assist with planning activities as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Advancement Office's initiatives. This may include coordinating logistics and procurement.
Job Requirements(a) Education/Training/Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or related fields.
  • A degree in a relevant discipline such as arts, journalism, marketing, or communications. We encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply, as passion and potential are valued.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with design software and tools for creating simple graphics and layouts.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, both written and verbal, is a plus.
