Job Description

What the role is:You will oversee the landscape management operations of JTC\'s industrial properties with a team of JTC officers and outsourced contractors.What you will be working on:Project management, budget planning, outsourced vendor management, tendering and managing of contracts, as well as assessment of contractor of performance KPIs would be needed. As a manager, you will also need to assist to plan for future resource and maintenance cost optimization for current/future JTC projects in the pipeline. You will perform landscape design reviews submitted by consultants and contractors with the Facilities Management team during the design and construction stage. You will recommend, advice and implement outsourcing strategies, review and devise improvements for processes and procedures to enhance building operations, customer/public satisfaction and engagement. You will be required to perform site inspections of our properties/landscape facilities and to follow up on appropriate actions. As part of maintenance contract management, crafting specifications which includes reviewing the standard, schedule and requirement of maintenance, schedule of rates and derive ways to ensure managing agents and service providers carry out their maintenance work. You will need to keep abreast with new and latest technologies relating to the landscape industry, innovations and best operational practices to drive improvement in our operations. You should have a broad understanding of benchmarks, guidelines and standards such as Green Mark and Energy Trends and Conservation. You will also be taking on ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors as and when required. You may be needed to guide and lead the landscape team under your charge and to manage trials and projects that is allocated.What we are looking for:Background in landscape management/architecture or equivalent with relevant qualifications with at least 3 years of working experience in the landscape industry. Being an industry/professional certified arborist or practising horticulturist would be an advantage. Candidates with experience and passion in the management and operation of landscape and horticulture facilities especially vertical greenery knowledge will be highly regarded. You must be a team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
