Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks

for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines

to automate build, deployment, and testing processes.

Develop automation scripts

using programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams

to identify automation opportunities and integrate testing early in the SDLC.

Automate infrastructure provisioning

using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.

Conduct root-cause analysis

and troubleshoot test automation or system issues.

Monitor automation performance

and continuously improve coverage, reliability, and scalability.

Integrate automated testing

into agile development environments.

Mentor junior engineers

and establish automation best practices across the organization.

Document automation procedures, architecture, and maintenance guides.

Technical Skills Required:

Programming & Scripting:

Python, Java, JavaScript, Shell, PowerShell

Automation & Testing Frameworks:

Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber (BDD) API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, Karate

CI/CD Tools:

Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions

Infrastructure Automation & Configuration Management:

Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet

Containerization & Cloud Platforms:

Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP

Monitoring & Reporting:

Allure, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack

Version Control:

Git, Bitbucket

Other Skills (Preferred):

Knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, and test data management. Familiarity with performance testing (JMeter, Gatling) and security automation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of hands-on experience

in test or process automation. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Experience leading automation projects and mentoring teams. Relevant certifications (preferred):

ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer
