Job Purpose

We are seeking a talented QA automation engineer to design testing procedures for our software applications. In this role, will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, install databases, and collaborate with the software design team.

To ensure success as a QA automation engineer, you should have scripting skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent project management skills. A skilled QA automation engineer can design and write efficient test procedures for every software application.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with the software design team to discuss verification protocols.
• Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
• Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
• Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
• Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
• Designing and installing software databases.
• Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
• Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
• Collaborating with the design team to solve application faults.
• Building out manual testing guidelines and carrying out test cases.
• Brainstorm and develop solutions with the entire team.
• Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs
• Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts
• Write technical documentation

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Have developed testing protocols on a full fledge application from database, backend infrastructure to frontend
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields
• Setting up dev ops process and pipelines
• Cybersecurity understanding and background

Skills

• Good grasp of the JavaScript
• Understands web frameworks such as ReactJS
• Worked with React-Native framework
• Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean test cases
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Worked with NestJS/ReactKS framework and backend infrastructure like NodeJS
• Worked with databases such as PostgreSQL & MySQL
• Good understanding of the micro-service and serverless infrastructure
• Worked with AWS services and Google Cloud Services
• Experiences with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha
• Good understanding of Git and GitHub
• Written scripts in CI/CD tools such as Github Actions
• Worked with tools such as Cypress
• Ability to take extreme ownership over your work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon, both regarding estimates and the general process.
• English skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English)
