Overall Support

Provides engineering and technical support to external customers, and internal customers

• Take action to resolve operational problems related to Factory Automation Projects and minimise delays / cost
• Liaise with other local as well as regional and international operational departments
• Provide control system overview design solution and involved in presentation of the solution to customers
• Coaching of junior software engineers.
• Any other tasks assigned by immediate superior.

Engineering & Project Execution

• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, control flowcharts, layouts, electrical diagrams, Programing matrix, source code comments and clear code.
• To develop programing follow sequence and control in difference programming language with difference models/brands of components
• To design and develop graph user interface for HMI
• Experience on developing a workable, ease of operation, recoverable and robust control Source Code.
• To configure and tune controller follow the design setup on different models/brands of controller
• Creates production documentations including detailed electrical drawings, Part list, IO list, Testing/buyoff criteria, costing and project documentation.
• Creates project documentation including ISO Documents, system overview, Operation manual and etc.
• Understand client\'s requirements, identifying and addressing design parameters and engineering problems to ensuring solutions are implemented
• Communication internally and externally for design sequence control / approval.
• Work independently and tasks assigned with minimum supervision.
• Program design follow timeline discussed/given by project manager on project schedule planning
• Perform IO check, Dry/Wet run, troubleshooting & testing of new machine.
• Design cost monitoring with the expected quality within budget
• Perform on site testing and commissioning
• Support production on series production project on testing and troubleshooting.
• Responsible for UL audit and maintain the qualification of built.
• Responsible for Transfer project setup and knowledge know how. (if any)

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in PLC and HMI
• Experience in motion control and process control
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
