Business FunctionGroup Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Design and architect ELK, Opentelemetry and monitoring solutions for microservices, containers, VMs and bare metal infrastructure\xc2\xb7 Implement ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for centralized logging and analysis\xc2\xb7 Implement Opentelemetry for distributed tracing and metrics collection\xc2\xb7 Integrate monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Zipkin for metrics, tracing and visualizations\xc2\xb7 Manage and scale ELK and Opentelemetry implementations on Kubernetes, cloud platforms like AWS, GCP\xc2\xb7 Troubleshoot issues with logging, tracing and monitoring; provide tuning recommendations\xc2\xb7 Stay up-to-date on latest developments in open source observability tools and techniquesRequirements:\xc2\xb7 7+ years of experience designing, implementing and managing observability platforms\xc2\xb7 Expert-level knowledge of ELK stack, Opentelemetry, Grafana, and other leading open source tools\xc2\xb7 Experience setting up observability for complex microservices architectures and large-scale distributed systems\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of observability best practices like traces sampling, logs parsing, metrics storage, etc.\xc2\xb7 Experience with observability in public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP\xc2\xb7 Ability to build and lead an observability team and mentor junior engineers\xc2\xb7 Strategic mindset to evaluate and incorporate new technologies into observability stack\xc2\xb7 Experience with scaling and securing logging and monitoring platforms\xc2\xb7 Understanding of metrics, logs and traces correlation to troubleshoot effectively\xc2\xb7 Passion for open source software and continuous learning mindset
