Investment Services Private Markets

We manage deal structuring, due diligence and closing. We provide financial operations to GIC\'s private equity, infrastructure, and real estate assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

Finance & Accounting

The Finance & Accounting Team is responsible for deal finance advisory including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, portfolio control, treasury and cash management, valuations, investment operations, investment and portfolio accounting, financial reporting, and special purpose vehicle management for GIC\'s private investments.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Finance & Accounting team as an Assistant Vice President, specialising in Asset and Portfolio Analysis in the Controller function.

What will you do as an Assistant Vice President, Asset and Portfolio Analysis?

• Perform financial statement analysis on private markets portfolio group and SPVs;
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations, e.g. benchmark analysis, cost controls on portfolio group and SPVs;
• Monitor finance / operational trends on fund and private credit assets and provide analysis for developing scorecard on funding process, reporting timeliness, valuation quality, record-keeping with the view to identify areas of improvement for GPs and credit managers;
• Synthesize information, uncover trends, and deliver insights to improve decision-making to stakeholders e.g. cashflow forecasting to improve liquidity management;
• Prepare reports and presentations for various stakeholders;
• Stay up-to-date on market trends and developments in the private markets space;

• Support senior team members in process improvement initiatives or ad hoc requests.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor\'s in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines;
• Relevant professional certification holder (e.g. CA, CMA, CFA) is preferred;
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting or audit, with a focus on asset analysis or portfolio management;
• Strong accounting knowledge and financial analysis skills;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills;
• Data driven mindset with strong quantitative and technical skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Enjoys working in a dynamic environment;
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience in using technology tools for data extraction/modelling/visualization tools (e.g. Power Query, Power BI, Tableau).
